Precautions for Exporting Diesel Generator Sets

Fuel Handling:

Before shipment, it is necessary to drain all diesel and engine oil from the fuel system and fuel tanks of the engine, 

and ensure that all water is completely drained from the diesel engine block and radiator to prevent freezing damage when exposed to cold temperatures.  

Battery Handling: 

Lead-acid batteries must be disconnected and securely fastened to prevent electrolyte leakage.  

Packaging Requirements:

The units should typically be packaged using standard export-grade pearl foam film, fumigated wooden crates, or non-fumigated plywood boxes. 

The packaging must be capable of withstanding stacking and long-distance transportation. 

The base of the package must include forklift holes and lifting identification marks.
