How to understand the reasons for diesel engine tile burning?

1. Failure to monitor instrument readings.  

   During normal operation, the diesel engine's oil pressure should be between 0.15 and 0.25 MPa, 

   with idle speed oil pressure not less than 0.5 MPa. Many operators rarely pay attention to the oil pressure gauge, 

   making it difficult to detect potential faults in a timely manner.

2. Inappropriate oil levels.  

   If the oil level is too high, the engine is prone to burning oil and forming carbon deposits during operation. 

   If the oil level is too low, insufficient lubrication can lead to bearing seizure or crankshaft damage. Generally, 

   the oil level should be maintained between the upper and lower marks on the dipstick.

3. Improper clearance between the shaft and bearing.  

   If the clearance is too small, oil cannot easily enter, preventing the formation of an oil film. If the clearance is too large, 

   oil tends to leak, making it difficult to maintain an adequate oil film. Therefore, during repair and assembly, 

   it is essential to ensure the bearing clearance is within the standard range.

4. Long-term overload operation leading to bearing failure. 

   Extended overload operation causes the engine temperature to rise and the speed to drop, 

   increasing the load on the bearings while reducing the oil pump’s output. Additionally, 

   oil viscosity decreases at high temperatures, making bearing failure more likely.

5. Contaminated lubricating oil. 

   Adding unclean lubricating oil to the engine can block the oil passages, resulting in bearing failure.

6. Failure to use seasonally appropriate lubricating oil.  

   Different grades of lubricating oil should be used for different seasons. Some diesel engines experience bearing 

   failure because low-viscosity oil used in summer fails to form an adequate oil film on the bearing contact surfaces.
