When the diesel generator set has operated for approximately 6,000 hours, 

professional maintenance personnel should be engaged to perform a medium overhaul and maintenance.

1. Before conducting the medium overhaul, carry out the ”C-level technical procedures“.

2. Inspect the cylinder head assembly of the diesel generator set: Remove the valve seats, valve guides, valve springs, 

    rocker arms, and rocker levers. Check for wear and replace if necessary.

3. Examine wear-prone components in the diesel generator set, including the cylinder liners, pistons, piston rings, 

    intake and exhaust valves, as well as parts in the crank-connecting rod mechanism, valve train, lubrication system, 

    and cooling system. Replace as needed.

4. Dismantle the inspection cover plate of the diesel generator set and check from the lower end of the cylinder liner 

    whether the sealing rubber rings of the cylinder liner are watertight. Replace if necessary.

5. Inspect the injectors of the diesel generator set. Test the spray pattern of the injectors on a dedicated test bench. 

    If required, perform grinding or replacement of injectors and related components.

6. Check the operational condition of the PT pump and injectors in the diesel generator set. Perform repairs, 

    calibration, or replacements as necessary.
